Annual exceedance probability
Culvert, screen and outfall manual, (CIRIA C786) published by CIRIA in 2019, defines the annual exceedance probability as the: ‘Probability of exceeding a specified flow or level in any year (inverse of the return period for an annual maximum series.)’
